Tai Chi
Originally a 13th-century Chinese martial art, Tai Chi is today practised worldwide as a health-promoting exercise. It combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. While people of all ages can benefit from it, it is particularly recommended for people aged 65 and over to reduce stress, improve balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs.
Our group meets in the Lower Hall of the Old Halls on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. for an hour, summer included. A small weekly charge is requested. Please contact Ronnie Niven or use the website's 'Contact Us' button for more information.
